Once upon a time nonsense

Once upon a time, once upon a time… First of all, I would like to know is everyone aware that the time actually passes or, to better express myself, changes. However…“The time will never be just right”... And secondly, is it such a problem to move today in the woods and nature without all of this modern things, to play the whole day on the fresh air with all available toys, and then, when the night falls and sunsets, go to bed…and in the early morning, go to the stream and wash your laundry at dawn (because you don’t have a washing machine)… Probably there are more supporters of this kind of thinking so they can live and socialize together…I mean, hang out together.

Why am I writing this text? Because…I often encounter texts written in nostalgic tone…that say once upon a time…blah… Such as:

Once upon a time, we developed our photos, and today we keep them in our cell phones… Once upon a time, we didn’t have cell phones, so we talked to each other more… Once upon a time, we were letting our kids play in front of the house for hours and now parents control them even when they play in the park… Once upon a time kids played outdoors in nature, with a ball and now they spend most of their time in front of the computer… Some people also say that today’s mothers care too much about the hygiene, supposedly damaging the immune system of their kids…blah, blah. Who is condemning whom in this case? Who is regretting something?

I don’t get that stories…that strange nostalgia…for past times… when we didn’t have something… well, it’s not a problem to give up on something…when you already have it? Isn’t it? Or you would like that everyone act like you do…I mean…

Once upon a time, people didn’t have toilets, once upon a time we didn’t have clothes, there were no washing machines…once upon a time…

Go and develop that photo you want, it’s even faster today…It’s not me who has to go and develop it to make you happy, or I should do that? Be happy, because today you have that possibility of developing the photo on which you appear the best. Hygiene? Moms and dads, who often wash their kids’ hands? What’s wrong with that? According to the research…this or that…Why do you care at all? Are you a researcher? According to my opinion, it’s not about the period…it is the difference in points of view…It’s not a problem at all if you think that licking a floor will turn your kid into a superman…but it’s also not a problem if some that other parent washes the hands of his kid more regularly than you do, thinking that he will be healthier than you…In fact, who knows what’s the truth…you probably don’t have to lick the floor to meet with germs in order to “strengthen” your immune system…germs are everywhere around us, they can hit you from the air, whether you lick it or not…and probably the other parent doesn’t have to wash hands that often as he will anyway never be able to wash everything…that means you are both right …both of you are supermen. Got it?

Furthermore… if someone who is sitting next to you, in your company, isn’t talking to you, the problem is probably not just the cell phone… don’t you think? Maybe if there was no cell phone and you find yourself living in 1947, that someone would find some other reason…not to talk to you.

Today some parents, and maybe the majority, do not let their children outdoors alone because it’s also them who don’t feel safe being outside alone…and they are hanging over their kids’ heads in a park as parks are full of descendants of “chimpanzees” who played all day long in nature when they were young…so you can never know how culturally conscious are the… I mean, you never know when they might strike you… and these are also those completely alone…left without parents in the park for hours…so they need any kind of supervision anyway… and I really don’t understand why people think no one is playing with a ball outside anymore? Those are probably the ones who wouldn’t do that even if it were 1947… There were always those lazy and uninterested in sports who were sitting at home, reading a book…I remember them really well…it’s probably their fault why we have electricity, computers and whatever bothers you nowadays…I mean…if you want to play basketball, go out on the court, you will surely meet several others who also want to play…play with them. Why do you care about that neighbor who doesn’t have time to run after a ball because he’s been busy with his computer…Enjoy, let him go, he might save the planet from a huge meteor in 20 years so that you and your descendants could play with the ball for the next 100 years…

I’m just saying…

Relax. Live. Choose. Respect. Love. And wash your hands sometimes… those of you from 1947…
